The Duke is Definately Worth a Visit
The Duke of York on Wallsend High Street has always renowned for its local charm and for the people using it as their local. Despite it being not being one of the cheapest pubs in town it is nevertheless one of the friendliest. Because of its late licence it is invariably the place "High Streeters" end up when others have closed for the night at the weekend. There is seldom any trouble at The Duke as most regulars look out for each other and any perpetraters are sent on their way double quick time. You can be sure of a good night at The Duke. Geo
